Tips and General Information

Traditionally, invitations should be mailed out 6-8 weeks before the wedding. Announcements should always be mailed AFTER the wedding, never before. Please order 10-15% more envelopes than you will need to cover revisions, last-minute guests and address changes. Save-the-dates can be mailed at any time after the engagement!

 

Reserving a time slot with me in advance is highly recommended as I have a tendency to book many clients around the holidays and during peak wedding season – spring and summer. Last minute jobs are

always welcome, but a special "rush rate" may be applied depending on my work in progress. Rush rates are $.50 added to each set.

 

Etiquette questions about formal and traditional addressing? I can advise you with your etiquette questions to make your invitations both memorable and distinctive.

 

When compiling your guest list for me to work from, there is no need to write or type out complete streets, avenues, apartments, etc. I will hand write them out in their entirety (for example: General, The Honorable, The Right Reverend, Doctor, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Boulevard, Apartment Number, Loft Number, The United Kingdom...)

 

As you prepare your list, I would greatly encourage lists in column format rather than spreadsheet format IF AT ALL POSSIBLE! It's not required - just preferred!
